As the President and CEO of the Omaha Community Foundation, Sara's leadership helped the foundation grow to over 1,800 accounts and $1.2 billion in assets, ranking 15th in the nation. Under her guidance, the foundation facilitated hundreds of millions in philanthropic investments annually.

Sara's innovative spirit shone through with the creation of OMAHA GIVES!, an initiative that generated $50 million in donations from tens of thousands of donors. Her data-driven approach led to the launch of The Landscape Omaha, featuring 38 community impact indicators. Sara also spearheaded an impact investing program for local businesses while expanding support for over 1,200 nonprofits and sponsoring programs for 100 Chartered Advisors in Philanthropy.

As CEO of VidaNyx, Sara's leadership was instrumental in transforming the startup into a leading force for social impact technology. Initially focused on aiding victims of child abuse through secure cloud video technology, she assembled a dedicated team and expanded the product and customer portfolios. This effort revolutionized video collaboration technology for evidentiary and health records, accelerating justice and healing for hundreds of thousands of individuals across all 50 states and Puerto Rico.

Sara's contributions have been recognized with honors and achievements such as Habitat for Humanity Power Woman of the Year, Women’s Center for Advancement Woman of Distinction, Outstanding University of Nebraska Alumni, and inclusion in Midlands Business Journal's 40 Under 40, and University of Nebraska-Lincoln Student Regent, among others.

A lifelong learner, Sara is dedicated to applying academic principles to real-world challenges. She holds a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy designation from the American College, an MBA from the University of Chicago, a BS in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and has completed advanced programs at Harvard University, Stanford University, and the Council on Foundation’s Career Pathways Program.

Sara's commitment to service extends beyond her professional achievements. She has served on over 15 boards of directors for social enterprises, nonprofits, and philanthropic foundations, with current involvement in four. Sara cherishes her incredible family, including her three children and her supportive husband, her trusted advisor in life.
